PoliMi e NCS Company together for a new green project: Electric

As in the past five years, NCS Company has been calling to support PoliMi Motorcycle Factory.

Who is PoliMi

PoliMi Motorcycle Factory (PMF) is a legitimate racing team, which began in the Mechanical Department of the Politecnico di Milano. It currently participates in Motostudent, an international competition against universities from all over the world.

Why MotoStudent

The purpose of MotoStudent is to allow students apply the knowledge that they have acquired during their studies and verify it in a competitive situation. The tasks and problems that the team members have to overcome are the same problems that are faced by every professional team racing in international competitions.

For this reason, they have to project, develop, build and assembly all the components and the electronic. Moreover the team also needs good organisation and logistics during events and presentations of the prototype, effective collaborations and relationships with sponsors and suppliers as well as promoting the team image and the prototype on social media.

The collaboration with NCS

Since the first edition in which PoliMi has participated with NCS , MotoStudent IV 2015-2016, the results have been immediately encouraging. With the project ‘’Scighera’’, thanks to the extraordinary commitment of the team and the help of NCS for molds and fairings, the PoliMi Team been able to realize a motorcycle prototype with above-average-performance, and the score that they reach had never been achieve before in a MotoStudent competition.

To a more green race

This new season raises the bar, the goal is to create a new prototype called "Electric" which will be competing in electric category of MotoStudent.

For this project, the NCS Team of experts in rapyd prototype has realized the molds adapted to a 100% electric motorcycle. expecting an aerodynamic fairing which can provide exellente performance; paving with PoliMi the way towards the motorcycle races of the future.

PoliMi e NCS Company insieme per il progetto green Electric

Come negli ultimi cinque anni, NCS Company è stata chiamata a supportare il PoliMi Motorcycle Factory.

Chi è Polimi

Il PoliMi Motorcycle Factory (PMF) è un Team corse del Dipartimento di Meccanica del Politecnico di Milano, iscritto alla competizione internazionale MotoStudent, a cui prendono parte prestigiose università di tutto il mondo.

Perchè il MotoStudent

L’obiettivo del MotoStudent è quello di verificare, in uno scenario reale e competitivo, tutte le conoscenze acquisite dagli studenti durante gli anni di studio. Le problematiche che i ragazzi del Team PoliMi sono tenuti ad affrontare sono al pari di quelle di un reparto corse che gareggia in una qualsiasi competizione mondiale.

È loro compito infatti progettare, sviluppare, costruire ed assemblare componenti e elettronica; in più al team è affidata anche la gestione del materiale e degli spazi, l’organizzazione e la logistica degli eventi, le relazioni con fornitori e sponsor, e infine la gestione della community social.

La collaborazione con NCS

Fin dalla prima edizione a cui il Team PoliMi ha partecipato insieme a NCS, ossia MotoStudent IV, 2015-2016, i risultati si sono subito rivelati più che incoraggianti.

Con lo sviluppo del progetto ‘’Scighera’’, grazie allo straordinario impegno del team e l’aiuto di NCS, per la realizzazione degli stampi e delle carene, i ragazzi di PoliMi sono riusciti a realizzare un prototipo di moto con prestazioni al di sopra di tutte le altre in gara, e a raggiungere un record di punteggio assoluto mai eguagliato da un team.

Verso una gara più green

In questa nuova stagione l’asticella si alza ulteriormente e il fine ultimo è quello di elaborare un nuovo prototipo chiamato #Electric che competerà nella categoria electric di MotoStudent.

Per questo nuovo progetto green il Team di esperti in rapid prototyping di NCS Company ha realizzato gli stampi adatti a una moto 100% elettrica, prevedendo una carena aerodinamica in grado di fornire ottime prestazioni; spianando insieme a PoliMi la strada verso le gare di moto del futuro.
